Born and raised in the South, Ross grew up in a family that embraced Southern hospitality and had a zest for fine food and wine. This laid the foundation for her career in the restaurant business and was the inspiration for her first restaurant, Watershed, which she opened in Atlanta in 1998. Watershed became known as an iconic Southern restaurant and was at the forefront of the farm-to-table movement. Under Ross’ leadership Watershed earned a great deal of local and national recognition, including a James Beard award in 2007. She sold the restaurant in early 2018 to embark on new opportunities. Throughout her career as a restaurateur, Ross stayed committed to her lifelong passion of creating an outstanding dining experience and has traveled around the world to celebrated culinary and wine destinations to hone her expertise. This knowledge, combined with more than 20 years of hands-on restaurant experience, led her to establish her second restaurant venture, Redbird, located in West Midtown Atlanta. Redbird is a true reflection of Ross’ heartfelt and unwavering commitment to delicious food, fine wine and generous hospitality.
